Privacy policy

Everything you record and create in the app stays on your iPhone. Nothing leaves your phone unless you choose to share something, such as a reel, a clip's sound, a backup or a cat. There is no account, no analytics, no ads, no tracking, and nothing is sent to us.
The app's only contact with the internet is asking Apple's App Store whether you have Tell Me Meow Pro. Apple handles the payment and the free trial. We never see your payment details or who you are.
Permissions
The microphone and camera are used to record your cat. Access to Photos is add-only, so the app can save your reels and pictures.
Deleting
Delete a clip or a cat in the app, or delete the app to remove everything.
This website
tellmemeow.com sets no cookies and has no advertising and no tracking. Its fonts and pictures come from tellmemeow.com itself.
To see how many people visit and which pages they read, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It counts page views and measures how fast pages load, along with the page you came from, your country and the kind of device and browser you use. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and does not follow you to other websites. We only see totals, never individual visitors.
If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers that choice on your own device. It is not a cookie and is never sent to us.
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it handles the technical details every visit involves, such as your IP address, to deliver the pages and keep the site safe.
Links to Instagram and X take you to those sites, which have their own privacy policies.

Questions: hello@tellmemeow.com. If you email us, we keep your email and our conversation to answer you, and delete them within 12 months after the last message. You can ask us to see, correct or delete them, or complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.
